Are you interested in exploring what research undergraduate students have been participating in? Join us on March 22nd for the 2024 Undergraduate Research & Scholarship Symposium held in the Rozsa Center Lobby. The Symposium will highlight the exceptional undergraduate research being conducted and represents a wide array of disciplines from Michigan Technological University.  

The day starts with the first of two poster sessions (12:00-1:30 pm and 2:30-4:00 pm). The student participants represent a wide array of scientific and engineering disciplines from across campus and highlight the diversity of research areas being explored. Attendees will be given the opportunity to speak with the students conducting research, ask them questions about their projects, and learn more about undergraduate research and scholarship.

The day will also include a panel discussion at 1:30 pm which will feature experienced current and former graduate students and provide a chance for discussion about how undergraduate research creates opportunities and how it may influence your career path.  Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this panel discussion.

The day will also include a panel discussion at 1:30 pm which will feature mining professional Debra Switzer, research ecologist Erik Lilleskov, and assistant professor of management and entrepreneurship Dr. Ellie Asgari, discussing the impact of undergraduate research on career paths and provide a chance for discussion about how undergraduate research creates opportunities. You won't want to miss the panel discussion, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend!
