Visioning Session: Advanced Characterization and Fabrication at MTU

This is a past event.

Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 12 pm– 3 pm

This is a past event.

You are invited to participate in a visioning session focused on advancing characterization and fabrication capabilities at Michigan Technological University.

This session aims to gather input and ideas from our community to shape the future direction of our facilities and partnerships in this critical area.

Visioning is a collaborative process where stakeholders come together to imagine and articulate a shared vision for the future. During this one-hour facilitation over lunch, we will engage in various exercises to brainstorm ideas and explore opportunities for improvement and growth.

Some of the topics we plan to address include:

  • Instrumentation needs: What would it look like if we had all the equipment and instrumentation we need?
  • Workforce development opportunities and industry partnerships: What would it look like if we were the driver of technical expertise in instrumentation?
  • Regional opportunities: What would it look like if a major portion of the midwest partnered with us for instrumentation?

Lunch will be provided, courtesy of the College of Engineering.
