This workshop will bring together leading international experts from across the field of numerical analysis, with a central focus on high-order methods for solving partial differential equations. It is structured with a strong educational emphasis, particularly aimed at graduate students and early-career researchers across STEM disciplines. The mornings will be devoted to lectures on modern high-accuracy numerical techniques, while the afternoons will feature research talks covering a broad range of topics, including, but not limited to, recent advances in the discretization of differential and integral operators, as well as methods based on rational functions, radial basis functions (RBFs), and finite difference approaches.
It is a free workshop intended for graduate students, postdoctoral students, researchers, and faculty of all STEM fields. Please spread the word and register to help us plan for refreshments.
Parking has been reserved in Lot 26, just up the hill from the Noblet building. Follow the signs along 7th Ave to the designated parking area.
This workshop is funded by generous gifts from Igor Kliakhandler, the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Michigan Technological University and from the Applied Mathematics Department at University of Colorado Boulder.
