Silver Wings is a national, co-ed professional organization dedicated to creating proactive, knowledgeable, and effective civic leaders through community service and education about national defense. The objective is to promote personal and professional development of its members and to raise civic awareness. Personal Development: Local Chapter activities and projects provide character growth through service to the community and enable the individual members to develop a sense of purpose and responsibility within their community.Professional Development: Local Chapter activities and projects provide members with leadership opportunities and the chance to develop professional skills, including oral/written communication, public speaking, and project planning and execution.Civic awareness: Local Chapter Activities provide exposure to Air Force issues and personnel enabled members to develop an awareness of aerospace power and the role that it plays in national defense. It also provides opportunities for promoting aerospace issues in communities through seminars, educational programs, public relations activities, and seminars.
