We are the student chapter of the Wildlife Society here at Michigan Tech! The Wildlife Society is a national professional organization for people within the field of wildlife. However, we are open to all majors! We try to give students the opportunity for hands-on experience in the field. We do a mix of professional development meetings (radio telemetry workshops, tracking workshops, etc) and social meetings (birding walks, quiz bowl nights, etc) Previous events have included mist netting birds, volunteering at the Copper Dog, fin clipping, and more! When and Where: We meet on the first and third Thursday of the month, with a few alterations based on availability and breaks. The meeting location changes often, so keep an eye out! For more information, please email Reece Redeye-Desposito, rtredeye@mtu.edu
